ASPHALT REPLACEMENT
- As asphalt reaches the last stages of its life-cycle, it begins to crack.
- Cracked asphalt allows water to penetrate the openings and destabilize the base rock and soil under it and will soon develop potholes and dense cracking called “alligatoring”.
- Asphalt that is damaged and cracked all the way through can only be remedied by a full-depth removal and replacement.
- Once removed, the base rock and soil beneath are re-compacted and new hot mix asphalt is installed, restoring a smoother driving surface and reducing your exposure to trip hazards.
